AJS 350cc Big Port

This 1928 AJS Big Port was given to Terry Gardiner by his cousin in 1935. At that time, the motorcycle was in pieces, but Terry, a skilled engineer, rebuilt it for racing with some unique modifications to the engine.

He raced the machine at Brooklands in 1938, after which Terry, along with other riders and drivers, joined Sir Malcolm Campbell's Corps of Military Police for war service.
