Motor Proud, Saturday 17 May 2025
In association with Racing Pride
Everyone is welcome to join our celebration of diversity in motorsport’s past, present and future. Get into the spirit of Pride with live vehicle demonstrations, Test Hill ascents, performances, food and music:
- Live vehicle demonstrations including Daisy, belonging to Ethel Lock-King's and then Hugh Hunter, now over 100 years old!
- Brooklands Stories Uncovered Tours highlighting LGBTQ+ history at Brooklands
- Family storytelling session with Olivia Armstrong
- Family craft activities
- Object handling
- Performances from the Surrey Rainbow Choir, Don1 and Professor Maxim & Mercury
There will be an exciting array of vehicles on display from modern race cars and supercars to rally cars, luxury cars, and classics.
Held in collaboration with Racing Pride, the world leading initiative championing LGBTQ+ inclusion through motorsport, and supported by a range of Racing Pride's friends and partners in Formula One and beyond.
We will be celebrating Brooklands' own fascinating diverse history as well as championing the racers of today.
Classic vehicle owners are invited to display pre-1995 classic vehicles against the backdrop of the historic Brooklands Museum and our collection. Modern sports and supercars are welcome too - the more colourful the better!
Programmed as part of the Brooklands Stories Uncovered project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
