  • Brooklands Festival of Motorsport featuring the Double Twelve

    18th & 19th June

    The Brooklands

    Festival of Motorsport

Come and enjoy this two-day extravaganza, featuring the three Double Twelve Competition events, Test Hill ascents, great food, music and entertainment for the whole family.

The event celebrates Brooklands’ rich motoring and motorsport history, and is always held on the weekend closest to the anniversary of the original opening of the race track on the 17th June 1907.

Soak up the atmosphere of the site and see both current and vintage cars competing on the Speed Trials at Mercedes-Benz World on Saturday and then on the Driving Tests on Sunday, on the Banking and the Finishing Straight. If you prefer to be able to walk around and study your classic cars, then the “Pride of Brooklands” Concours may be the thing for you, including casting your vote for the “Visitors Choice” award on the day.

Both days will feature festival fun on the Museum site, with live music, car and motor club displays and family entertainment.

Regulations and entry forms are AVAILABLE NOW for the Speed Trials that will take place on the course at Mercedes-Benz World, the Driving Tests and the Concours.

Double Twelve Speed Trials – Saturday 18th June

The event Paddock will be on the Museum site, where all of the competing vehicles can be viewed between their runs out on the course, with viewing of the competition itself being available over at Mercedes-Benz World. Practice runs will take place during the morning, with the competition runs happening after the lunch break.

The great news with sprinting is that you can enter in your ordinary road car, as long as you have the necessary safety equipment of helmet, gloves overalls and a competition licence you can sign up to take part. Why not give it a go?

Double Twelve Driving Tests – Sunday 19th June

Entrants on the Driving Tests will compete on a number of tests laid out on the famous Members Banking and the Finishing Straight.

Again, this is an event for road cars, so as long as you register in advance and have the right grade of Competition Licence you can come along and have some fun. No previous experience is necessary, and there is no need to make potentially expensive modifications to your car. Why not come along and be part of the fun and the spectacle?

Everyone who wishes to compete in the event, regardless of whether they are driving or in the passenger seat needs to be in possession of a Competition Licence. The entry level licence for this type of event, the RS Clubman is free of charge and can be applied for via the Motorsport UK website. The link to the application is here:

Double Twelve “Pride of Brooklands” Concours – Sunday 19th June

If you are lucky enough to own a car that you consider to be a great example of its breed, but would rather not drive it in competition then this is the event for you. Why not come along and enter the Concours competition and display it, putting it up against the other cars?

As well as the competition classes that will be judged by the knowledgeable panel of Judges, there will also be the “Peoples Choice” award in this event that will be voted for by the event’s visitors.

Why not give it a go? We are sure the day’s visitors will appreciate a great line up of cars.
